How does the 95th Percentile Billing work?

We measure your bandwidth usage every 5 minutes. At the end of the month, we discard the top 5% of the highest usage samples (bursts). You are billed based on the highest usage value remaining in the 95% of samples. This means brief spikes don't inflate your bill.

Is the burst speed guaranteed?

The burstable bandwidth is available on-demand, subject to the physical capacity of the last-mile link. Since we provision the last mile with headroom, the burst capacity is typically available whenever you need it.

How many bills will I receive?

You will receive an advance bill for your fixed (committed) bandwidth and a separate usage bill in arrears for any burstable usage above the committed rate, calculated monthly.

Do I need special hardware?

No. If your existing port and last-mile connectivity support the higher speed (e.g., a 100 Mbps port for a 50 Mbps plan), no hardware changes are needed. We simply configure the policy on our end.
